Non vi nascondo che in questo mondo dai velocissimi cambiamenti a volte, per fortuna raramente, mi capita di pensare che conoscenza e creatività non servano più. Poi osservo e vedo che le persone continuano a domandare e chiedere, perché forse in questo mutamento, che da alcuni è chiamato crisi, c’è una vera necessità: qualcuno che aiuti a semplificare e a dare qualità. Non con una semplice sottrazione, ma con armonia e reattività . Vedo in progetti come questo un senso profondo, quasi arcaico, e altrettanta poesia.

La conoscenza dei processi produttivi serve più che mai, perché chi acquista deve sapere che dietro ad un oggetto di una multinazionale c’è l’annullamento totale di tutti i valori di ecologia e rispetto e che le mani di un artigiano locale sono le uniche che garantiscono questi valori. Un cuscino imbottito con materiali sintetici ricavati da rifiuti di dubbia provenienza, annulla tutto il nostro ‘cucinare bio’, per non parlare dell’oggettistica della tavola e della cucina. Il gioco plasticoso e rumoroso regalato a nostro figlio è stato progettato per abbassare le sue capacità di concentrazione, ed indurlo, dopo pochi minuti, a cercare un altro diversivo, così come molti programmi tv.

Se da questo periodo non apprendiamo la qualità che può portare con se la semplicità, non avremo colto un’occasione unica. Con questa consapevolezza, saluto le mie vacanze estive, in cui ho veramente scoperto il mio stile…
